CPR And First Aid

The 2017 Training dates for CPR and First Aid are:

  • Dec. 16 

CPR classes are from 09:00am - 12:00pm and First Aid classes are 12:00pm - 3:00pm.

Cost is $40 per course and includes a free face shield.  Classes are held in the Cranberry Township Municipal Building in Council Chambers.

ACLS Refresher Thursday November 9th from 8am-4pm

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is a video-based, Instructor-led, advanced course, builds on the foundation of basic life support (BLS) skills. It emphasizes the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR and takes healthcare provider training to the next level- highlighting the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.  Cost is $20 

PALS Refresher Tuesday November 14th from 9am-4pm

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a video-based, Instructor-led, advanced course, that focuses on a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.  Cost is $20

ITLS Refresher Tuesday November 21st from 9am-4pm

The ITLS course is hands-on and intensive. The primary purpose of the ITLS course is to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and experience necessary to get the trauma patient from scene to surgery in the best possible condition. The ITLS course focuses on the skills necessary to recognize mechanisms of injury; perform an organized, time-efficient assessment; prioritize and perform critical interventions; and appropriately package and transport the trauma patient. Cost is $20.

Emergency Vehicle Drivers Training Saturday and Sunday December 9th 8am-4pm both days

This course is suitable for both novice and veteran emergency vehicle operators. This course provides instruction for emergency personnel who may be involved in operating emergency vehicles. Topics included: defensive driving, emergency response, vehicle maintenance, and a driver training obstacle course. A VFIS EVDT Certificate will be issued upon completion.  Cost is $25

Available per request, we also offer on site CPR and First Aid Training for organizations located within Cranberry Township.  Please contact the station for further details.
